How charges accumulate
- Compute — VMs are billed per-hour while in Active or Stopped states
- Block storage — Volumes are billed per-GB per-hour
- Snapshots — Billed per-GB per-hour of snapshot storage
- Object storage — Billed per-GB based on stored data
- Licenses — Windows Server and other licensed software, billed per-hour
info
Stopped VMs continue to incur charges because CPU and memory resources remain reserved. To stop billing, destroy the VM.
