Instance lifecycle

| Active | Instance is running and accessible |
| Stopped | Instance is powered off; billing continues (resources remain reserved) |
| Rebooting | Instance is restarting |
| Destroyed | Instance and resources are permanently deleted |
Stopped Instances still incur charges. Resources remain reserved while an Instance is in the Stopped state. To stop billing entirely, destroy the Instance and its associated resources.
